Churchman & Son was founded in 1790 and based at Portman Rd, Ipswich and at Norwich. It was an old well established company . Took over Hubbard & Co in 1895 and became a member of the ITC in 1902. This Churchman's No 1 Virginia cigarette were first introduced in 1906 and there were numerous variartions of this brand. The firms other popular brands were "Tenner" - "Topscore" - "Southern Cross" - "Flower of Virginia and many others. Does anyone recognise his cap badge as I can't find it. Measures 24" x !8".
