W Clarke & Son founded in Cork 1830 and moved to Hare Place. Scotland Road, Liverpool. Became a member of the ITC in 1901 and then transferred back to Ireland in 1923 because of imposed customs barriers . They possessed numerous retail shops in Ireland which joined up with Salmon & Gluckstein and A I Jones retail shops after 1901. Some of their well known brands "Musk Rose" - "Carlton" - "Life Guard" and many others. Picked this nice die-cut showcard at Elsecar at weekend. It  was a very good fair and met Battleycarr for first time, looking for nice mirrors. Note : The "Rocket" was used to fire the rope from one ship to another.
