 I have had this tin for a few years..always wandered what it contained as nowhere does it tell you...tobacco,cigarettes or nothing ? Can anybody enlighten me

 Hi Kennett,

Nice cigarette tin which I believe was produced to  commerate Edward becoming King and she the Queen Empress in 1901. When Edward died in 1910 she became very involved in charitable works and in particular arranging tobacco/cigarettes for the troops during the 1st World War.She died in 1925. I can't find the picture of the Brass Box they were sent in, but someone may have one to show. Yours is in remarkable condition.
