I have been trying to trace the manufacturer of this 1lb tobacco box label without much success so far and wondered if any forum members recognised it. If I had to guess I would say it was Ogden's.  The 4' 7-in gun is a MK1-1V is a British Naval Gun deployed on Cruisers from 1888-1918 and also  used as a field gun in WW1. It also has a retailers name and address on the back. Anyone recognise it???

Hard to peg though, you're right about that, but Ogden's is a very good guess.

Otherwise I'd reckon it to possibly be a house brand offered by Joseph Fleming - you'll find a few of his branded ginger beer bottles on the google search, and I found a really great calendar as well but the pictures are quite small:

Another passing thought is that since he's near the Lakeland that perhaps it was made for him by one of the Kendal makers?
