Just been staying in Bourton on the water for a few days and popped in to the motor museum . I was amazed by how much stuff a small museum can have on display , had to go round again as I missed some things 1st time round . even my daughter was desperate to see it again !!  Well worth a visit

Bourton On The Water was one of the best, if not the best, places that we visited whilst on our trip to the UK in July and August, 2014. Some simply stunning cars and car related memorabilia, not to mention the signs. Beautiful.

Not being a local there may well be other museums that are better and if there are I wish I had visited them but until next time Bourton was brilliant. Spent all day there just wandering about and enjoying what was there. Trout in the little stream going through the town and something to always remember.

The whole trip was a very memorable one with history around every corner and certainly something to saviour forever.

Regards,

Rustycutters

This looks like a page right outta Joes garage, minus the guns and a little better organized!

I like Bourton on the Water museum and Frank Zappa.
Bourton on the Water museum has got one of the best enamel signs I've ever seen - the Spalding Horse Slaughterer sign.
It's in 'More Street Jewellery' page 27.
I want that sign; the lettering is fantastic and the colours in the landscape are amazing and beautiful.
