Fairly modern, but what a beauty. I imagine a lot of train buffs would be all over this

There you go. This is how the experts tell us how it is. "fairly modern".

Please please tell me. Is this 'just an opinion' or are you 100% sure it is modern?

Mick is about right here though isn't he? Looks like it could be 60s/70s to me.

Bit of artistic licence used here I think . The locomotive is painted predominatedley black . It's on show at Shildon ,Co Durham and was built 1847 . The image is very eye-catching for sure , but I dont think the sign Has any great age. If  I had to guess I'd say 1950's - 60,s .

Yes maybe late 60s early 70s. I like it. It's stylish.

It's 60x40 cm. And it was taken from a toystore in Switzerland from the first owner!! So the story comes from first hand!.

The man got it just before the war in 1939. It's repaired in the right upper corner (he dropped it when he attached it in the window display :-(

It was on an iron bracket stand.

A bit shocked that someone has called this enamel "A Crock of Shit".
Its not turn of the century, but a lovely sign - especially if you are a model railway or steam loco fan.
To sneer at anything just because its 1950s or 1960s is wrong - just my personal view.

It's really interesting to hear it's so old. I guess something about the colours and maybe the rounded corners made me think it looked 60s/70s.
