I have tried over many years, to find out anything about this company, even writing to the UK Tea Council -  but still nothing. Does anyone know anything about Phillips Tea ?

I thought this little honey pot had much of the information you required, but it might pre-date the enamel sign!

If you google it, there are some references to Phillips Fine Teas. There's particularly a 1913 photo of Wrexham High Street, with 'a branch of Phillips tea merchants and grocers', suggesting it covered a significant geographiocal area, which sounds like a candidate, but no reference to where their head office was.

It's a sign I've always fancied a good example of, but she has one heck of a chin on her!

 I might be able to provide some information about Phillips's tea merchants, my great grandfather owned one of the shops in Wrexham and his brother another.Another Brother owned one in Shrewsbury. Another brother moved to California and set up shop there! My mother is 96 and can still recall some of the family history. Just let me know if you stil have an interest.
