You’re right, it does feel subdued and quiet and I’m not sure why and don’t think it’s all down to people moving over to FailBook. Maybe we’re all going through a form of Coved19 PTSD as there feels like there is a lack of energy everywhere.
Going around the fairs/boots with no gems to be found, just the same old dirge on display… Maybe sign/adverting has reached its maturity as when speaking with a dealer recently, he said “it’s now so hard to find anything new anymore as it’s all now locked away in peoples private collections”. I guess this point in time was eventually going to happen.
I'll still keep hunting mind.

I know what you mean .. but the site has always been kept afloat by a hardcore few posters . I might add that the hardcore members were Top of the line Collectors. That's what kept me here . Facebook groups are finite .. They just run out of steam .. Bigger is not better as far as members go . People still view this site .. eg : I have a couple of Threads on here . One has had over 70,000 views over the years .. and another almost 20,000 . That amount has been reached by the Quality of the contributors to those threads . I look in every now and then to see if there are any new posts on those threads . Sadly , none for quite some time , but the number of views keeps increasing .
For me this site has been the Top advertising site for many years and I would like to see it continue as such . Alex Renshaw does not seem to give two shits about those collectors who supported him when he began this site .. Just walked away . How about giving something back Alex ? . We all have careers .. We all have families . We all have commitments . And many of us have supported this site for too many years .. Grow a pair Alex Renshaw .
Just my opinion .. Chris ..

I can remember back to when the site started. I was doing a search for enamel signs, it came up a page for this site saying that the site was almost finished and would be ready to commence in the near future. I would check up on it all the time, can't remember how long this went on, but my memory makes me think it was several months and the rest is history. |

You gotta love Mick G..❤..i find if you post a repro sign Everybody and his dog jumps off the fence,,yet you post a stunning sign and only a few comment..omo but instead of people ie you Griff who only posts pics of things on ebay should post pics of their treasures as only a few of us have done for years..dont sit on the fence,,post your gems,,good or bad and things just mite change..As for Alex,,yes he should pull his finger out of his arse and so should other members.. |
