Did not want to piggy -back any more on "Britax" thread , not fair to Mark , This Wincarnis sign came from the same batch of 8 signs as the one I posted on behalf of Mr .G yesterday. Briefly , in the late 1990's , "CARTERS" and myself went to a farm near York to look at 10 of these signs which along with 2 Wincarnis "nurse" signs, were up for sale . There were also some Tangye Oil Engine signs , but they didn't at the time inspire us . Anyway , we ended up with 8 signs , one was already spoken for and the other was beyond our pocket ,if you like . We had a friend with a van , so we gave him the worst sign ,which had cost £50 ,and he brought them all back to Sheffield for us , because that's what you did in those days .
