Only activity on the site seem mainly enamel signs.!!! ,,
Recently I found at a fair this slightly worn Miranders dream 10 cigarette box / packet ...Never seen one before. Is it 1920s.?.It has a padded lid with the paper picture on top and on top of this a plastic covering..All very posh for the lady smokers.Did they also do a bog standard 10 cigarette packet ? The Miranders tin I have is full and the filters have different bright colours..
I could imagine the comments in a crowded pub a man offering the cigarettes from my box to friends !!!!
any information welcome Why do I get so many pics ?
I like that Ken . I've never seen one either . Only ever seen the later ones and I'm never sure what came before those Dodo designs style ones . . Can you send me your email again please Ken . I can't find it and if this site dies I'd like to be able to contact you .. Cheers .. Chris relics@iprimus.com.au
Hello Ken,
The tin is one that seems to turn up from time to time. I think I've had two or three myself over the years. The packet/box is a different matter, I don't recall seeing one before. I think it must be a bit of a rarity. Well done.
thanks for comments..Have sent you an email relic. Nothing much at fairs and auctions...Glad I started collecting advertising in 1980, regret now selling good bits to keep my head above water..could only collect by buying and selling....had to be done
Hi Ken,
Have had this tin and packet a while. Have just looked through the archives as I thought we had done a write up on the "Mirandas Dream" brand but unable to find it and all my photo's are on my desktop computer and too many for my laptop. My collection is all stored at the moment as I am moving house but should be back up and running in a few weeks time, so, will come back to you in due course with a bit more info.
