Hello to one and all,

Just receently I've bought a number of items from ebay, that haven't been delivered, and I've had no contact from the sellers either.  What the F*ck is going on?  Plus trying to get anywhere with fleabay is so frustrating, you can't speak to a human being anymore - they're utterly useless. Anyone else had problems? 

Did you buy from abroad..Always dicy..As a buyer, if I really want it and bought it I would offer the UK seller the extra postage  £1 signed for by me the buyer..This means it is handed to me by the postman..Courier not too sure..do they need a delivery signature ?

...is right ...as a buyer its almost impossible not to get your money back. Much more likely to get screwed as a seller !!

 Thank you all for your replies.  A few items I bought were 'collectors' items, some were'nt.  The point is that I wanted and need the items, and they never arrived.  I'm about five hundred quid out of pocket at the moment, and that's money I can't afford to lose.  Maybe I should just top myself, and leave the pains of this world behind?  Sorry to sound mentally ill - maybe I am?  But when it comes down to cash, and the cost of living now, I feel like Basil Fawlty.  He banged his head against a wall if I remember rightly.

Yes, I remember doing the dirty on you, and I apologise unreservedly.  These days after having had Covid twice, and nearly dieing I 've got a different perspective on things, and I'm just trying to be a decent human being.

Mick G, look up Fawlty Towers on google.  If you want a really good laugh, you won't find anything better.

Thank you for all your replies, particularly Banjo. Markbigears, you're right, maybe I was a shit seller myself, but not on ebay. A certain person came along with wads of cash, and I was in need of cash at the time, I still am now. Anyway, I just couldn't resist what I was offered. I'm not perfect - who is? I wouldn't do that now, but at the time, I was trying to buy stuff, and competing with people with far deeper pockets than mine. I don't buy a lot anymore, the interest is still there, but I realise my limitations now.

Mick G, it was a cigarette tin if I remember rightly, actually nothing special, and quite ugly, just RARE, that four letter word that seems to dictate ridiculous prices on things that frankly aren't worth it.

I believe we all want to do the best we can, unless you're a ruthless bastard out to make as much money as you can. The person who offered me a load of money for the tin at the time is actually a very nice person. I don't know him personally, but like me he cares about birds and animals, and gives money to a local rescue centre.

If you're reading this Broadie, once again I apologise to you unreservedly.

Still, at least I've got a conversation going on this godforsaken website, which should be much better than it is.
