I thought it was interesting, in bad condition, but maybe worth £40 or £50.  It made £155. Couldn't believe it, it wasn't even in colour.

See ebay listing number 255741133656. or look for completed items under calderdalecollectables.

 

Absolutely mental in my opinion.

Yes, I agree it is rare, but so is the poster I bought recently, on a simiilar theme, and in glorious colour too.  It barely cost me anymore than this piece of tat.  There's something wrong with us collectors.  Maybe we're all  nutjobs?

 Your right CDM, those of  us who give money for these tatty old boxes must be nut jobs including me, although money paid for that was a bit over the top. This "Yeoward Line" box is the first that I have seen from this company which cost coppers in comparison. The Liverpool Maritime Museum has a really nice poster of this firm but would not let me copy it over. However, the text has a short history of this company.
