 I would appreciate information on this chocolate bar I bought a few months ago..All I can assume is it is a wartime issue..What war what date ? I wuld have thought it would include the word "ration" in some way

Hi Ken

Cadbury did indeed do a separate bar called Ration chocolate for their wartime replacement of dairy milk.
As the milk was removed it was given the name ration chocolate. They also did this one you have which was their usual Plain chocolate bar but in grease proof wrapping.

A surprising amount of these and the ration bars survive, I will try and find a pic of the ration bar for you when I get the chance

thanks for the info.  Was this see through version available all during the was ?..I also have a "Filled block toffee" also in a see through wrapper
