Thank you for your comment regarding the sale that was held on the 16th April and we have noted them and will hopefully make our next advertising sale a more pleasurable experience.  The June 25th Sale will start at 10.30am with the advertisng section being the first lot of this days selling so that means there will be no hanging about.   The viewing will be until 10.30am, but like with all our sales, you can ask a porter for extending viewing while the sale is in progress and we will try and accomodate you.

The sale on the 16th was sold without reserve except on a handfull of lots, but the auctioneers did place suggested prices on everyry lot, this was to ensure that more time was not wasted by starting every lot a ridiculously low starting price.

Every lot was photographed on our website and our new web site being launched by mid 2011 which  allows us to have multiple images, conditon request and reports, a wish list, shopping cart and online payment, this hopefully will make a more efficeint service

Unfortunatly online bidding is the way forward and for our vendors opens up the world to their lots, we have experienced a significant increase in the online bidders for all our sales and have had positive feed back, it does though reduce our selling speed to 120 lots per hour, so this should be taken into account when working out your lot time, etc

One person commented about buyers premium being another way that greedy auctionners make their dosh - We are a business and here to make a profit, we do have high overheds as have a permanent building, staff, etc etc  so sorry guys buyers premium is charged.

There are more toilets than 1 as there is a block located off saleroom 3, but we have plans to build an extension to the front which will mean a new toilet block in 2012

We are progressive firm and welcome all comments, positive and negative and look forward to seeing you all again on June 25th.  We are currently cataloguing the sale and all lots will be first uploaded on our web site, hopefully by 1st June.

Please email either of us should you have any other comments etc at alb@bamfords-auctions.co.uk or si@bamfords-auctions.co.uk

I see the next auction is now online, not so many photo's and not as interesting as the first, but still some pieces to tempt.
