Hi Peter,

Peter: Sadly the digger was joyous and went straight home with it.

Chris: Yep we had some more early stuff off there until the jealousy of other diggers stopped the fun for all. Not in a good mood with diggers at the moment. Gave local stuff to anyone who stopped by and while we were away they slashed our tents and nicked loads of stuff.

Al.

Hey mate. No been digging with my dad since I was 8 - 25yrs now!

The bottle world is very different now as you know and would like to keep all the pirate style wars off this website.

I'm just in it for the exercise half the time, not madly jealous about another mans luck.

Not much early stuff apart from that jar, just a few late seals.

Al.

Hi Sean.

Its just a lot of people fighting often over ill gotten gains or stuff that has come for free (hard work not included obviously).

As to fitness, Left the dig and drove straight up to film a friend and his crew cycle from Dublin to Arklow (50 miles), Row from Arklow to Portmadog (90 miles) and hike from there up to the top of Snowdon. Some footage of the row should be on the Beeb on Friday with a bit of luck. Following them up Snowdon with all the camera gear was nothing compared to digging.

Booked the first week in Sept to do a few peaks in the alps and then off to Russia in May to climb the highest peak in Europe if all goes well!

Chris, its just a shame what the hobby has come to.
