Well Andy and me headed off to Scotland on a mammoth digging session. Headed out on sat and did the 4 hr drive to Pitlochry .Out came the barra as last time we were there we had some good finds so as it was a banking decided to hit it hard and make the most of the day we had. Hole one with the barra and we were down 8 foot ,sadly the only finds were a few sauces and pickle jars .At this point we decided to abandon to a new part of the tip .Hole 2 and another hour later still no finds of any quality .At this point we were seriously thinking of going drowning our sorrows in the pub but decided to give it one last shot .Tiny hole in ,and finally a find aqua crescent poison, at about 5 foot finally the first cream ,then another then a sepia print one ,we were quite relieved at this point to of finally dug something .While later a codd then to top the day off a lid.

Whoop what a first day ,off to the campsite to pitch then a monster curry with wine and a load of cider.

Day 2 woke up with groggy heads from the curry and erm LOTS of beer ,set off to meet Kev on the Inverness tip, stopped on the way for a monster Scottish breki which included a Kilo of dripping . We finally made it to the tip had a quick survey round and chose our spot. Landed quite lucky, tough ash which needed a pick to get through but it did include bottles ,soon in and the first codd appeared pulled out by Kev ,then another however this time it being a Beavis patent pulled by Andy .Throughout the day mixed in with all the sauces came a steady trickle of finds ,then Andy pulled a great Seltzer. We also had an unusual Inverness mineral which looked to have a meadow croft lip but it was corked ? a great end to day 2 .That night after checking out a local tip which turned out to be very late ,we were treated to the hospitality of Kev and his wife who cooked us a fantastic meal along with a few beers .Was an early ish night as the 2 day digging was taking its toll on us .
