Just picked this up form a retired gardener in Weymouth. Such a great image. Interesting to note though that the HMS Invincible sailor is the main image, but the logo at the bottom is still the old style 'Hero' image.

Al.

Hi Al

Mine is just the same, what a corker, beautiful sign, great size. I know several other forum members have these signs too.

Although quite late, I think it's a really impressive sign, 'though it's not rated at all highly by a very well known dealer! H.M.S. Invincible played an important part in the famous naval Battle of Jutland. Judging by the subtle differences between examples of these I've seen, it appears that the the image is a combination of both printing and hand applied coloured enamel.
