Have been after one of these for a long time, and out of the blue a complete one hidden in a garage since the closure of the bakery. Both sides, still on its original backplates, even the wall fittings. About bloody time, relatively common item but usually split into single stripped down plates. Still waiting for the enamel though?

Youre right there, and lucky to have that one. Have never understood why they are so scarce for such a big brand name. Add to that the fact that I only buy signs in vgc, I may be waiting longer than Ive got left.

Strangely, there have been several for sale recently on EBay. Two green background with gold letters and a white background with red letters, they seem to go around the two hundred mark per side, which seems cheap to me.

There used to be a pair jutting out from a bakery in Sidcup, Kent a few years ago. I made them an offer but the owner said "not at any price'

Green and gold is the norm, there's something wonderful about green and gold - from a design point of view; I think Al would know more about that?
Cheers
