This year after making the move from Sunny Nunny to Birmingham I have been focusing on Midlands breweries as my main field of bottle and tat collecting. I have grown up around M & B pubs all my life and my father was an avid brew X1 drinker so many of the objects I have acquired I remember being behind the bars of the smoke filled tatty pubs my dad used to frequent.
I dont think any brewery left it's mark on a town or city quite like m & b did to Brimingham. There are many fine pubs with acid etched glass, tilework and stonework advertising their ales, and despite selling all of their pubs I would say 50% of the pubs in the west midlands have a leaping deer or their letters still stuck up somewhere.
There is plenty of stuff still about, so I have been hoarding it.
If you have anything you want to part with, please message me!!

My much coveted party 7 cans. Ansells Caskette was the first ever party 7, and is worth as much as some green codds! The tatty M&B bumper is under a crude restoration, believe me it looked worse before, but they are realy really tough to get hold of
Random 20p shield and a rather nice T G Green ashtray
"shabby chic" mirror
Holt brewery was another large Bham brewery. They were bought out by Ansells, who adopted their now well known squirrel logo. This bottle is a Holts pre dating the merger. Alongside a Showells of Langley beer
Holt and Showells spirit flasks

Smashed Showells match striker, under restoration and starting to take shape after quite a while now!
I hope you enjoyed looking through some snaps of my mullock :hehe:
