Well chuffed with this early pick up yesterday

I think its a  '  wide mouth squat cylinder  '

Any early glassites out there give me a rough date please, about 8 inches high

i would be very interested in that one if you ever want to sell. Am prepared to pay "megabucks" as the guys on here and the other forums will know. I have seen the seal before, so would be interesting to find it's history as well.

...thought I'd seen it before a couple years ago, someone bought it to me at a show, remember the crack, didn't want to point it out as some people think you are just trying to dis something when you do that, but I'm still interested...please contact me

regards

Hi Mark

The owner ' that was me ' showed you at last years National or Surrey Show, can't remember which, before that it had been ' undiscovered ' until bought in a local house clearance.  Not being blind I had spotted the crack myself which does'nt really bother me at all its such a lovely piece

Still sitting safely on my shelf at present. Any info appreciated & after that who knows

L'umo

...No problem L'umo, glad you just like it and want to keep it for now, far too many just interested in the value etc etc. Can you remind me the exact lettering...is it "H & M Ball...1761"?..can't see the pic too clearly. if so I'll see what I can find out about it for you. Have a go anyway...
