A recent visit to York Castle Museum. Well worth a look if you are in the area. I have posted some photo's to give a flavour of the Victorian Street Shops.

Great place to visit, I have some pics of the Enamels etc somewhere, If your in East yorkshire the Hull museum Quarter has some good displays including a street scene with shops , vehicles and signs etc. Plus it's free admission

Nice railway cigars box

The Castle Museum in York has had a big makeover recently, I believe there is plenty of new stuff to see. I've no excuses to not go and see as York residents can get in free!

I've also heard very, very good reports about the museum in Hull. Another one for the 'to do' list!
