Hi there,

What happened to the Hutchinson Tyres?

eBay 160406086639   did someone actually buy it!!!

My god, I wish I had a spare £17.000.00 kicking around doing nothing!!!

Sadly I’m stuck in the real world of mortgages, bills and trying to survive……

Hi there,

That was my point about the Hutchinson Tyres, it’s in my view a bloody awful sign (no doubt others out there will tell me different. That’s fine, it is after all a democracy that we live in) and not worth anything like £17.000.00, I don’t care how rare it is. If someone did pay that amount, then they must be completely and utterly unhinged!!
Still I don’t suppose the sellers mind, they no doubt as the saying goes ‘laughed all the way to the bank’.

Griffon, you're spot on.
I understand collectable rarity and I understand rare things making money. But £17k?
I haven't even spent that on a car or a van before now.
Maybe its time to chuck it all in and collect stamps.

Its a mega sign which may have sold in the end.

Not many top class igns like that about for any money in my opinion.

cheers

Al.

They must be on another planet!

I would be prepared to pay 500 - 1,500 pounds.

It is a rare sign and quite appealing but lets be realistic.
I wonder how they arrived at 17 K ?

Well BB, they look OK to me, and it's not one that I know to have been reproduced!  Were the pair on a 'buy it now'? Did you see them before the auction ended? Maybe not a sign I'd care for, but the two for £650 seems pretty cheap to me!
