Manufactured by A.Baker & Co Ltd. Holloway Road , London N7, this brand "King Lear" was introduced in 1902. The factory closed down middle 1921. The firm amalgamated with Finlay & Co,& W B Newman & Co. The other brands manufactured by this firm includes "Nutts", "Blue Stocking", "Houris" etc etc. Cigarette cards from this company can command very high prices. Does anyone have any tins/pkts from this company to share. I am certain AL has the "Blue Stocking" tin!!!!!

Hi Dan,

Super "Great Auk" and "Houris" tins. Yes it would be nice if you could turn them inside out as they are great quality. I have posted my "Nutt's" tin which is more common and in reasonable condition.

Hi Cabs,

Nice tins-I like the "Blue Stocking" and the "Houris". That  "Great Auk" looks in great condition and have not come across the small "Vagabond". Thanks for showing.
