Just thought I'd start a random thread that Vlad and Relics can respond to.

It's great to see some of the nice tins people own, but I love seeing whole, wall to wall, ceiling to floor collections in all their unadulterated glory.

Here's Dads to be going on with. Happy to be outdone so let's see what you all got!!

It is a lovely tin. And not that easy to find.

Anyhows, you must have a secret stash of your personal faves in a cabinet somewhere!!? Let's have a look then.

These were taken with the phone and aren't all that good now I've posted them, but you get the idea.

Incidentally, any folks 'passing through' this thread, it doesn't have to be just tins. Any collections are easy on the eye.

This old Chocolate cabinet came from the village shop where i grew up , when the shop changed hands i asked the old lady if she would sell it , she let it go for £15.00 ! alot of money when your about 13 , i had to work hard to find the money , anyhow she had used it to store the shop tobacco and cigarettes in , mainly Players no6 and golden virginia if i remember correctly , so i thought it would look good with some of my tobacco bits in ........ enjoy

cheers

Dan

Superb photo Dan. That's exactly what I'm on about - looks great.

Also, what's that tin just in front of the Tim Bobbin that's not an After Lunch?

Here are a few of my tins displayed in this Lambert & Butler Cigarette Cabinet. Because of the depth of the draws it limits you to narrow tins only. Originally, the draws were made for loose cigarettes which were sold by weight. This cabinet is 1898.

Here's a few of my later oil cans, nothing special i know, but a solid heap none the less! now packed away awaiting a larger shed and maybe a better photo too.
