Well after months of anticipation me and the missus went to see the new " dads army " last night.

Joe's car was terrific as were all the locations around Bridlington

But unfortunately the Film was terrible !! The script writers want shooting. Corporal Jones was terrible and did'nt work at all. Pike was like a whole new character ? Did'nt matter what he looked like his actions etc just were not Pike.

Really disappointing if you hav'nt spent yer tenner yet don't bother !  I suppose it was never ever going to get anywhere near the classic original ..........but it was'nt even Ok !

Bit like a repro sign, ... I suppose

not seen the movie but for me any remake of a film etc just does not work, keep and remember the original cos its always the best.

 Your right Ross,I went to the premier,awful boring,the best scenes ended up on the cutting room floor,,the butchers scene was funny so was the hunting men scene while the filming was been shot,I waited for them to come on both were cut to nothing,,no one laughted at all during the premier,,before the movie started there was a friend of mine right of the big screen with a air raid shelter setting off fireworks,he set his trousers on fire that was the only laugh we all got.

 At least you had the memory of Ms Zeta Jones too!!
