The weekend from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 March we organize the first enamel signs collectors meeting in Hotel 't zuiderduin (www.zuiderduin.nl) in Egmond aan Zee.

Saturday during the day, there will be a hall where Enamel signs can be sold. And in the evening we can drink a beer together in our Enamel signs café. If you own signs that you want to sell or swap then you just take them with you.

Also several German and Belgian dealers/collectors have allready made reservations.

Of course you can bring your partner. Because there is plenty to do outside enamel signs in Egmond and the surrounding area. We even plan to hold a bowling tournament!

And for dealers/collectors who want to sell signs, we offer a enormous hall room where you can get as much space as you like. For Free!

If you you need more information or assistence, just call me or send me an e-mail: embo1@xs4all.nl

See you all!

Below is the enamel signs-arrangement from 27 until 29 of March. The special price is also including free parking under the hotel.

regards Henk

What a great idea….. the garden at the back of the Market pub in early summer perhaps - opposite Elsecar Heritage Centre (central UK)?

If you start something like this in England I will bring a lot of fellow collectors with me :-)

I would prefer somewhere in the region of Hull or Ipswitch so I don't have to drive much ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD! :-)

Pre-planning is very much essential to make this notion a success - the more folk can learn/ hear about it the better. I attend shows in every corner of the UK and could push, push, push, build, build, build…...

Elsecar is UK Central, moreso than Brum (if you take Scotland & Ireland into account) just an hour off the Hull boat from Holland/ Belgium? We're about to open up the field opposite the place for additional parking & CAMPING/ plus CAMPER VANS, surrounded by great pubs/ eateries, established Heritage Centre/ Antiques Centre, 'Antiques core of dedicated followers', on site specialist auction hous……. & so on.

If there is sufficient 'input' I will gladly start somat for next year - & try to slot in an auction alongside as well?

Any further ideas/ suggestions/ offers of support/ interest to attend please email me directly with name/ address/ email & start the ball rolling, and keep this forum up to date: sales@onlinebbr.com

Let's get it off the ground - soma to look forward to next year, can feel the excitement building already!!!!

It was super. Good sales and bought some nice stuff. Next year will be 6 feb 2016. Would reckommend it to come and take a stand. Its FREE. NO CHARGE for the stands. There are enough tables. If you need 1 or 10, no problem. Still no charge :-)

No entrance fee !!!

There is a special arrangement that you can book. Not expensive and it is perfect to bring your wife because it is 100 meters from the beach :-)

This year we had sellers from Holland, Germany and Belgium. Next year I expect 2x the amount of sellers and also from more countries. Atleast a few from France are coming and some mayor collector that could not come this yaer are coming next year.

So maybe I will see some of you on februari 6th 2016 (special arrangement is arriving on the 5th and leavinf on the 6th or 7th).

Bloody Hell Henk! What a brilliant display of signs.Whoever organised that deserves a round of applause.Looks like a lot of effort and planning has gone into that. The venue looks to be perfect for the purpose and everything looks so interesting in a setting like that. All those top condition and colourful pictorial signs in one location look really effective.Nothing else cluttering up the tables either to distract from the signs on display. And it's free! You've found the winning formula there Henk.If we were to do something similar here then that has to be the way to go.The pictures are great'thanks very much for showing them.

Jezz,

This is the pub where we all meet the evening before the fair. Its full with some of the best tobacco signs in Holland. The owner (and one of the co-organisers) of the Hotel is big collector!

After that we have a meal in the restaurant and come back to this pub to have some more beer :-). We also have a bowling tournament. This first year it was Germany versus Holland and Belgium. We lost :-( The meal and bowling is part of the arrangement (NO extra charge !!)

The next morning the fair starts at 10:00 A.M. (yes, we are lazy bastards) and ends around 13:00 P.M. Not to long, so everybody has time enough to do whatever they want to do next.

I hope your wife passed the exam!!
