Thnks Steve , yes was talking to another collector and the lack of medals indicate it's an early one ... I was a bit worried the condition was bit too good but it's v heavy indicating it's old pig iron and the back has enamel runs so guessing ok .. It's been in a garage for 35 years with the idea of it being used as a splash back for sink which never happened .. Will give it a clean and post pic once it arrives for interest sake .. Cig

 Well done Ciggy - a great sign. Mine is by Chromo and nice & heavy so I guess it will be from the same stable. I did have one other (of the same design) for a while which I recall was a Patent Enamel product which weighed about 50% of the Chromo one!!

 ....although looking at the picture in the car boot it looks a Patent Enamel as the maker's print is in the middle along the bottom edge!! We'll have to weigh them to compare now!!!
