I dont buy flintlocks as a rule,,this is a london made officers 65 calibre flintlock pistol made by william brander he worked in the minories london and it dates from 1760,it has very nice london proof stamps on the barrel,,,a lot of barrels were made in spain at that time,,,,there was a courtcase involving mr brander he was assaulted by a drunken soldier in 1785,,mabey mr brander should have kept this piece himself.

 The man who brought me up Steve was a gunsmith,,I learned a lot off that old man.
