Harvey's are always indicated as Newcastle.
Would this be the tin makers then?
Looks like "JOHN WILSON-LITH SHIPLEY".
BTW. neither this Diamond nor the Torchlight are mine. Just pics from my archive. Donations welcomed though.
hi kreemy,
it was my friend who sold the one on e bay maybe 4 years ago could could be longer for about £900, found in a box of junk at a local auction.
I was the underbidder on the ebay one. I bid with my heart and didn't win. I bought one off a dealer 2 months later for £400. Not trying to rain on anyones parade, but I think this tin is worth around £550? Mine is for sale at that or in & around that price, Rog
I'd like to see a picture of it as well please.
My email is a-p-chappell@tiscali.co.uk
Thanks for all the interest, tin now sold. Rog
“the record shows that the firm Harvey & Davy were founded in 1762 and were taken over by Gallagher Ltd in 1905.”
——Excuse me: is it “Gallagher”? or “Gallaher”?
Thank you very much!
"Gallaher" without the "g "
