Hi Banjo Boy, being a car detailing freak, this is my process. Firstly I "clay" the sign. This is a detailing clay that lifts all the contaminants off a surface and leaves it glass smooth. Next I use a fine polish like meguiars scratch X. This will remove / improve light surface scratches. Next up a finer polish such as autoglym super resin, followed bt a good quality carnauba wax. I have an electric polisher for these, if done by hand can take a while! All my sign's look fantastic, see the automobilia section on this site for a few photos of the finish. Hope this helps, best regards, Mark :
