Had another mangled sign through the post today. If anyone sends a sign in the post, please pay special attention to the corners by using loads of card!
Cheers
Al

The best thing to use is pipe lagging, the sponge type, just split it down the seem & run it round the edges of the sign, tape it as well, Richard |

I always use 1" cavity wall insulation and cardboard with the packing at least two inches larger than the sign. Then pack around the sides with strips of the insulatian. |

Here is my disappointment of the year. Had a big package from India (mr. Zaveri Shishir) with about 10 signs.
3 of them where a total loss. Never received my money back.
This is the sign before shipping.

Oh dear. What a shame to lose the money and such a great early sign. Never seen that one before either? Al. |

yuk thats a horrible site all those (fish n) chips, maybe like the one you said was in two bits it was the result of being in an un heated plane hold, -15 or whatever. as as im sure u know things get a bit brittle at that temp. btw that packaging on that baby food sign and the other is just a joke, hardly any tape, hardly any bubble rap and rubbish cardboard with no support and no fragile tape (not that that makes a differnce tho) i send my packages much better than that and there only going to the uk let alone around the world. |

Except for the smallest of signs, I think I'd be more surprised if they didn't arrive damaged, if you're relying just on cardboard packing! No one seems to handle things whilst in transit with any care; I'm sure things just get chucked around any old how! |
