 Hi Jimbo , many thanks for your help. I did get a glimpse of it on ebay but then it disappeared. It was actually listed twice with a buy it now price in Aldershot  not Dover. Can do it'll be a couple of days I'm at Malvern - I've cleaned it since the eBay pics.

 Great to see everybody at Peterborough. They say the footfall on the Friday topped the 10,000 mark. I had my best ever day of selling at this venue. GREAT fair, look forward to the next one in October.

Its actually got a good theme running through it. You've got the sailor, the fisherman and the man with his trollies rolled up chuffing the pipe could be the or an artist....

That's what I thought Jez. Just finished a great book about Dame Laura Knight who spent her childhood in the same area of Nottingham as me and went to the same Art College in the city. This painting is by Septimus E Scott who hailed from the North East. He was a prolific poster and commercial artist... did a lot of war posters as did Laura Knight. Not sure if he ever painted in Cornwall though? I need a nice maple frame for this if anyone has one. FB
