Hi Eddie

Banjo Boy is right I'm afraid ...............I wanted to let you down gently but this is a reproduction. The saucer base should be twice as wide, Parts of the lettering are slightly wrong and the back is just plain wrong. BUT a ' Clever ' fake because they have gone to the trouble of copying the patent enamel logo

Cheers lummox

Im afraid I'll second (or third) that. A few of these popped up at Lincoln and Newark 3 or so years ago. They're good but not quite there. No substitute for the enamel runs and bluey grey back on a real un.

Here's a real one Eddie, See how your saucer base is so much smaller and square in shape, On the originals its much wider and almost on a vertical line down from the cup edge. Another giveaway of a ' wrongun ' is the WIDE lettering on the word TEA, should be much thinner than the NECTAR

I remember the sunny summer day back in the 1970s that Laurence Shaw turned up at an autojumble/market with a trailer full of these Nectar Tea signs and literally tipped them out on the grass. ...They were £5 each!!! You could buy as many as you wanted. I spent ages picking the best one I could find. Those were the days!

As a former Graphic Designer/Finished Artist all I can say is the guy who produced the Artwork for this repro was a terrible artist!!! Its such a simple design, how can you go wrong? All they had to do was trace it on acetate and cut a reverse stencil using a scalpel.
