Due to downsizing, I have had to clear my tobacco collection of the last 25 plus years. This includes enamel-signs, show-cards-tobacco-jars, counter-tins, tobacco-pipes, clay-pipes, petrol-lighter tins, lighters, advertising-figures, shelf-strips, small counter-top display cabinets, wall-display cabinets, victorian-mahogany shop back and counter and large display cases etc etc. These have all been collected by a 7.5 ton removal van and delivered to new sale-rooms of BBR Elsecar. A lot will be on display at the next BBR sales on 23/24th April 2016. The auction for these items will be later this year, date to be confirmed. I will still be collecting tins and small advertising.
I have posted picture of the shop and annex before the move and after it had all been cleared. There is a lot more space now.

Hi Richard,
The mirrors are in the sale. BBR are doing a catalogue for the sale, so everthing will be listed except my small tobacco/cigarette tins.

Wow bacco, that's pretty radical. Though I guess you're going to make a lot of collectors very happy releasing that lot into the market.
Pleased to hear you'll continue collecting tins.
Best of luck with the sale. Must be quite exiting to see how it goes. |

The end of an era ..I suppose we all have to make that decision sooner or later
Hope it wasn't too painful loading the shop into a van .
I hope it all goes well for you Mike. |

A sad day. But on the plus side ,think of all those 1oz tins you can buy when you sell that lot. All the best with your move . Cheers Broadie. |

KT & Frank helped Bacco to unwrap and begin laying out in the salesroom - it will be on display for several months, open to the public to come and see.
The catalogue (£6 UK) will illustrate every lot in full colour, all offered with no reserve, absentee & live bidding in the room, plus live on the internet.

The Wills's SOCCER statuette looks tasty. These don't turn up that often. Bought mine about 30 years ago for £100. Good Luck with the sale BACCO. FB |

Not unwrapped everything yet fb - think there's at least 3, or 4, of that 'type.' Hope to make it into a wondrous catalogue to treasure - defo a good £6 worth, every lot illustrated in full colour. |

Hi FB,
Your right, the Will's Soccer roll & pigtail is very nice and I have had that one for about 25 years. Should have a packet stuck to it but have never found one. My favourite is the Will's "Bulwark" figure which I have had for a similar length of time.

Shop counter and shop back in the auction sale plus large display cabinet and glass-top display cabinet. Shop-back came from Victorian shop in Llangollen. The base from Liverpool and counter from S Yorkshire. Large and small display cabinets from Newark. All have been renovated.
