 Sorry to have to ask again but is this real?? Personally i would leave alone,,but my nephew wants to get his old man summat 4 xamas and he dont wanna buy a repro bless him..Thanks again lads..

 Cheers Ross for reply....OMO but i think its a late sign,,perhaps late 60s?? Looks wrong in so many ways,,but the brass washers round fixing holes threw me abit...

It's a wrong un. Lettering wrong, the bottom line is a typeface stretched on a computer. They're both modern typefaces like Arial Black stretched and dicked around with to look like the original. Bottom one is Optima Bold or similar also messed about with. A lot of original signs were hand rendered so there will be inconsistencies in the lettering. I'm a bit of an anorak on lettering - 20+ years in the print trade...!
