Hi, Did anyone see the Bryant & May sign on Ebay ? it sold for £438.

The frame looked ok with the name stamped on it  but i was a bit suspicious

cos it had a hardboard replacement back, So i Emailed the seller and asked

was the sign original and why was the back tampered with.

He replied  thats how he bought it and he was'nt sure if it was original, none of this was put in the sellers ad,  Hope someone has'nt spent that much money on a duffer.

Cheers

Keith

item 152365074050 . You have to look in completed items if you weren't following it.

many signs have replacement backboards it doesn't mean its not an original

also you can easily stamp lettering into the frame all you need is a set of workshop

stamps ' not suggesting any of the dealers would do this'

and i've not seen this sign  as a repro

it looks original but theres nothing like holding it to prove its originality

someone got it on on the cheap

would i have liked it yes i would

Looks good to me , but as FP says you need to hold it to be sure
It would look good on my wall .

Pretty sure I saw the actual same sign bought at Ardingley about 3 years ago. It was spot on
