The next big event !
The Collection of Marc Overmars goes to auction. Many highlights from the early years.
With not just some extraordinary Dutch mega rare signs but also with rare pieces from all over the world. You'll be amazed !!
Also with online bidding. If you need detailed discriptions of some signs or need to know the condition, just send me an email with the lot numbers and I will do my best.
The cataloque will be available from March 5th. Auction is in Germany. Close to the Dutch and Belgian border.

Hi Jez,
Dony know if you are coming to Egmond on the 12th of March (Big collectors fair). We can talk about the auction. I have handled all the signs, so I know what would be nice for you ;-)
The cataloque will be there and you will be surprised about the low limits.
I think a sign like the prices candles would be very interesting for you (i think). And some affordable automolia signs will be in the auction too.

The Woodbine doesn't look that bad...needs a good scrubbing and put in frame to hide edges and you'd have a nice sign

Something weird/not quite right about all those non-GB signs.
Can't quite put my finger on it; they're all over designed or something. Or they just look like posters. Or they're just too self-consciously stylish or something.
Anyway, looking through this auction catalogue shows it clearly - that Wincarnis sign is better and more beautiful than all the others.
As for that Heinz spaghetti one - never thought I'd say this about an enamel sign but it wants burning. |
