I have had this Davies of Chester enamel for a while and was going to show with the tin but can't find the tin photo. So, if any forum member has one, can you please show it.

This is a two sided enamel advertising "Old Mate" tobacco and "Cymro Dewr" tobacco both brands introduced in 1895 and withdrawn in 1910.

"Cymro Dewr" actually means "Brave Welshman". On the tin is featured a Royal Welsh Fusilier with the Regimental Mascot a Goat and at one time the 1St Battalion were all Welsh speaking.

 Hi AL,

Yes! I did purchase my tin from you a few years back. Thanks Brankston for posting a picture of your tin which is in very good condition.

Great tin Brankstons.

I had to look it up. Cymro Dewr appears to mean "Welshman Brave" or Welshman Courageous".

Although, of course, "brave" and "courageous"  have different meanings in English.

Hi Bacco

I use photoshop.

If you are on a PC there are probably a lot of free editing apps out there.

I don't mind turning a few pics round though.

If you want you can zip them up and email them to me and I'll send them back so you can post them.

Cheers
Martin
