It's a beautiful tin. There are a few others in this series. All lovely.

Lovely tin Sophie .. I have never bought one ..Not so much appeal for me.
I prefer tins with Advertising rather than just pictorial .
The quality is there , but just does not appeal to me , although I have the Mazawattee
" Dis is grand tea " , which is a similar style.

This is a superb example. Really never saw it in this fine condition. Thanks for sharing those beauties.

Here the mine with victorian portraits.

All the best, Mario.

This belonged to a good friend of mine. Sadly he died, many years ago. His wife needed the money so she sold off his collection. Yorkshire John from the Portobello gave her a good deal, bless him. She let me pick two and she kept this one herself.

Lovely tin Hilbert, do we know who the artist was? It looks like it could be the same artist on the Alice in Wonderland tin?

Each image has a legend but I don't think there is any reference to the illustrator. They might well be by a well known artist though, given the quality.
