The firm J & T Hodges Tobacco Manufacturer, founded in 1825 and were based at 30, St Ninian St, Glasgow. First company in Scotland to manufacture cigarettes. Taken over by Dobies of Paisley in 1908. Other cigarette brands include Texan Smokes - New Orleans  and Hand Cut.  The Natural Leaf brand was introduced in 1897. I think this is a nice small tin.

 Hi hilbert,

Glad you like the tin. The more obscure the brand and manufacturer the better as I like the challenge of researching the history. This Josiah Brown "Long Journey" posted, is a paper label. The company were tobacco-blenders, based 39 to 41, Church St, Long Eaton, Derbyshire. First time I have come across one of their tins (circa 1910) Other brands were Musician - Pergola - Khafra etc. Any one come across this firm or have any samples of their products????

Another little beauty. Looks like the top is printed. I wonder if there is anything printed underneath the paper wrap around.
