Not sure if this has been pictured before, but I came across it in an antiques centre! It had a label on it saying 'sold', which I thought was just to stop people asking about it, but the chap on the desk confirmed it had indeed been sold the previous Tuesday, for a substantial four figure sum. Size must be around 10'x3'6", and it was on a staircase (hence the odd angle!) Made in two unequal sections, with a joint between the 'X' and the second 'O'.. Superb gloss, with one small are of missing metal on the bottom edge! Sounds like it's off to the US!

 Some years ago Tomlinsons furniture warehouse near York had one of these for sale, similar condition too, I think they needed £900 or so, at the time I thought no, its toooo big, even for me. Regretted it ever since. Condition was similar to that shown. The business has now closed down.

May be the same one Steve? Who knows! They actually had another sign in equally good condition (although nowhere near as large!) which was a black/red/white Colman's Starch. Both had the same profile frame around them, screwed to the wall, and painted in with it too!
