Little outing to the North by the Tyke clan, not much enamel for sale, but nice to see a few bits still around. The Frys Saltire must be a rare bit, only recall seeing one on ebay many years back. The tea sign gives a clue to location. The Stephens Inks was within the servants yard at Manderston House - the home of the Palmer family of Huntley & Palmers fame - nice collection of tins there too for those who are into these things. I wonder why they blocked off the advertising part of the sign!! Lovely old horse enamel along the A68. There was a nice Buttercup Dairy shop in Selkirk still with all the tiled walls etc, but Dragon Tyke wouldn't let me stop for a photo!! The Eldrige Pope looks repro so I only paid the price of the frame, whereas the Huntley & Palmers Biscuits was a lot better find co-incidently from an antique shop quite local to Manderston House, and made the trip worthwhile really.
Sorry pics are back to front, upside down etc etc!!
Interesting signs . The Crystal Ale is a good 'un Thanks for taking the time to post this Steve
