We were in the Cotswolds last week, looking in all the antique & bric a brac shops, didnt see anything for me, as we were walking back to the car my wife saw this poster in a very up market art gallery stood on an easel in the window, so we went in,   had a chat with the owner who told me that a mate of his had given him the poster in 1974,  his mate had got a batch of them from the Tippers chemical factory in Balsall heath  Birmingham prior to it being demolished, the shop owner was a bit skint so he sold it to me

Nice find i thought ,.Rich

Lovely poster Rich. Rolls of these posters were found by Chris Gordon in about 72. He told me they came from the Tippers factory when it was being demolished. There were 3 designs, one of them was a 6ft poster featuring a Victorian lady sitting on a cod. I remember at the time there was a fashion boutique in Birmingham totally wallpapered out with them, including the ceiling and very trippy it looked too. A printer I knew had used his glass to count 21 colours or pulls off the stone of the chromo litho printing and regarded it as one of the high points of Victorian printing.
