I had put this cabinet in the "Bacco" auction then withdrew it with a view to converting for my larger Tobacco/Cigarette tins as all my large display cabinets had been put in the auction. With the kind help and advice of a well known dealer, the following photo's show the process which was going to be a winter project but have completed much earlier than I thought. It was going to be a mirror back but plan had to be changed At least it displays a few of my larger tins

(Can someone turn las two, right way up please)

A very nice conversion and a great display.

I've always loved the Woods' Too Good tin art.

Who is the manufacturer of the Double Flake?

As a related aside,
if you haven't seen it you may be interested,
here's a Duncan Briars catalog, likely from the 1930's...

Great cabinet and tins.

What's holding the shelves in place Bacco. You'd think they would bow unless fixed along their length?

 Hi Hilbert,

Glass shelves are supported with brass channel screwed to each side of the cabinet so that shelves can be slid in and out. There was concern it may bow, however it holds very well.

Have also posted picture of my Ogden's cabinet with tins in it. But still looking for a pediment for it. If anyone has one or knows of one, please let me know.
