Spent a very pleasant day at the Antique Advertising auction yesterday. BBR'S auction room looked great with the advertising filling all four walls and I even had a very tasty pork pie. The auction was well attended with signs going for decent prices - Players double sided enamel £470. Large tower tea £90, 6ft long OXO strip in pretty good condition £499. Bought a couple of things, a Players Navy Cut mirror at £220 and a delightful large Liptons tea tin again at £220. Alan as usual was the genial auctioneer who kept things moving with the help of his trusty team. Long may it last! |
