Not everybody's cup of tea as I have mentioned before but hopefully some might like to see my latest Jewel that turned up today.

Thomas Harper was the ' BP Winner ' or '  Cartier  ' of his day where Masonic jewels were concerned.

Bought blind as a Georgian Chapter Jewel from a very, very poor photograph !!  it turned out to be a mint condition, Silver  engraved and dated 1819 Georgian Chapter Jewel made and marked by Thomas Harper and in its original Thomas Harper retail case.

Well pleased ..................just waiting for the mint BP Winner to turn up now !!

Ross showed some of his collection of masonic jewels at the Surrey Club, absolutely superb workmanship.

Hi Mick

No not Jewish ! its a Royal Arch Chapter jewel, Same design only smaller still used today. Masonic jewels have alot religious, mystic and other symbolism. So you do see the star of david in the centre of this jewel. Others feature Pyramids, the all seeing eye, crosses, skulls etc.etc

Interestingly to be a Mason you do not have to be a Christian BUT you do have to believe in a " SUPERIOR BEING "

Does that give you an " in " Mick LOL

Cheers Ross
