 Hi guys,

Seen this James cycle sign on ebay, looks rather nice but back looks a bit suspicous and havent ever seen makers mark on the back before, would appreicate any views,

Hi Tom,

Sorry for the late reply. The lettering looks awful doesn't it? Looks like it's been painted by hand; I wouldn't go near it.

Yes Patent Enamel company never ever had black backs as far as I know; and never put the maker's mark on the back.
