just got back from BBR. There was a bit of an old school buzz at this one that I’ve noticed for ages at any collectors fair. Nige, Kathy and John were stalling who have not stalled for a while, saw some friendly faces I’ve not seen at a fair for a few years and generally there’s seemed to be a good vibe about the whole thing that I’ve not seen for a few good years. Good fair Alan and crew 👍🏻

Well said Arkwrights - it was an enjoyable morning. I had a few good chats with fellow collectors and there was some very nice advertising to be seen - a most convivial event! - Thank you to Alan and Clare and the BBR team.

Thanks for the two thanks above. The weather tried to dampen spirits, but generally you can't keep a keen collector away. some of the Scots had an "irksome" journey home!!!!

TWO VERY successful days despite the weather & both auctions proved advertising remains firmly strong throughout. Plenty of very high quality trickling in for BBR's next 2 sales - but we're targetting Sunday 6th May especially for some mouthwatering offerings. Iwill start a separate thread as material continues to trickle in for that one.

One grumble (keeps coming back to bite me - had knuckle wrap this morning again fro BMBC about early arrivals parking on the rd, engines running). I will approach individuals directly. Some events have been stopped because of similar issues. Stallholders must take heed if Elsecar Shows are to continue. ALWAYS the same people - just tarnishes the entire operation & puts all in jeopardy for the rest of us.... off the soapbox!!

Meanwhile thanks to ALL for your continued stalwart support - from every corner of the UK

Iain Gosling said he witnessed about 20 cars scooted off the road Al..... but I've heard no accidents from bottlers - but some Northern travellers had a worse journey than Iain.... that's keen!!!
