I woke up to find a section of a previously mint condition Zebra Grate Polish sign exploded off...fragments of enamel all over the place. I've gathered as many together as I can find and am now faced with a more or less impossible jigsaw as all the bits are just blue.

Does anyone know/recommend an adhesive? I don't want to use something that will end up doing even more damage.

Bad luck Hinks, it happened to me once many years ago. Came down stairs to find a large section of a pictorial Van Houtens Cocoa on the kitchen floor!
Unlike you i didn't even try to collect all the bits. I was to gutted!!

Yes Griffon I am a bit gutted! And to make things worse I cut my foot on one of the bits...they're very sharp!

Yes it was in a frame and I'd had a feeling it was under a bit of stress; but I didn't expect that to happen! Suppose I should maybe have taken it out of the frame but it looked really good - looked like the original frame.

I once saw a red background Players Navy Cut sign, mint one day, then overnight it pinged off in a line right across the face - heart breaking. Ever since then I have always left some give when screwing them to the wall.
