Are those Norman's Inks ones foreign? Something about the image/illustration looks un-English to me.

There is a variation of the Norman's Inks sign with a Bombay retailer's address:

I don't know though where the company was based. There were a number of their paper labels for sale on Ebay a while back, possibly with the company details on, but I can't find those now!

There you go. I'm almost certain that they were made for the Indian market, but whether in this country, or out in India i don't know.

Thanks for that. I strongly believe they're not English; there's just something wrong with the illustration. It doesn't work properly as a sign.

There is also a blue version of this sign which ive seen about 20yrs ago..Price £1200..Convex shape put us off,,Not a British made sign..OMO

 I'm sure you're right about the Norman's Inks Spence, it looks inferior to an British made sign.  The Falkirk Iron sign is fantastic, better even than the Cadburys "skyline" pictorial.
